    Which pump

I wanted the D5, but couldn't fit it in my case, so went with the DDC-2 mod top, which is roughly equal - and it fits easily. The D5 has 320 GPH flow rate compared to the DDC-2's 250 GPH, but the DDC has almost 20 ft.of head pressure compared to about 10 ft. for the D5. My loop's running...

True ... got the DDC with the Petra mod top. Thanks for the info.

How long have you had your DDC-2's running? The d5 has an over 5 year mtbf - any idea what the mtbf is for the DDC-2?

State of the Silicon Union - Q207

This is getting really tiresome, Phrozt. You have a couple of good points which Kyle would have been much more likely to have fully or partially acknowledged if you'd brought them forward in a civil, less - attacking way. But, you've turned this into a big ego battle about which I guess we're...

State of the Silicon Union - Q207

Very interesting article, Kyle!. Especially enjoyed reading the portions about nVidia's problems down the road and about low-watt GPUs, whose time has definitely come. I certainly understand why the enthusiast community is wringing it's hands wondering if AMD can get back in the game as...

    ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS @ [H] Enthusiast

Hurin, Perhaps you'll find this information useful. I found that running my Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 @ 574 MHz w/ 5-5-5-15 2T timings, gave much better read memory throughput as measured by Everest (8.2K MB/s) than running it @ 410 MHz, which is 1:1 for me, @ much tighter timings of 4-4-4-8...

Glad you survived the typhoon, videomasterz. The radar was out when I checked it last night. Hope the cleanup isn't too bad.

Thnx. Had to hike vcore up to 1.525 to get it stable. Wasn't willing to go above 1.5v until reading yours and others posts that had vcore in that range.

Don't think memory sub-settings were the problem. Orthos failed even with memory on below spec settings. Got a new psu which stabilized voltage and was able to get through 4 hrs. of Orthos @ 3.24Ghz with fsb @ 462.5.

Thnx, Merc - didn't realize until following your tjunction lead that the max temp on the Conroe's is so high. I was thinking it was like previous generation chips which had a max around 70 c. Armed with that info, cranked vcore up to 1.525v and watched temps while Orthos ran. They never...

    Corsair HX620 620w Power Supply @ [H]

Got this yesterday; ordered from zzf. A breeze to install. Looks good, great cable control - my first modular psu. Voltage is more true and stable than with my two-year-old Antec TPII 550. Gettting more stable overclocks - presumably because of more stable voltage.
