    The default setting is that there are no jumpers at all. All the pins are "Naked". I have left them like that (factory setting).

    my WD SATA has jumpers for transfer rate and spread sprectrum feature. I have left them at factory default. Called WD support and they told me to set my hard drive type in BIOS as SCSI. It did not help. Im about to send this POC back to newegg and go back to good old IDE :(((
