Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I haven't seen the two side by side, but I am running another LCD next to it. The issue is that the HC can render about 20% more colors than the non HC can. If you are displaying an image with those colors in it, they will be less rich... even though they should still have the right tint and...
I have the 3007-HC and love it. The default font size is kind of small, but I was already running my 20" display the same size anyways, so not a big change. What's funny is my wife tells everyone the reason I got the 30" is because I'm going blind... I keep telling her its big, but the text is...
I'm going to take this a little off on a tangent... What is the facination with open legged computer desks? In my office, I'm desperate for as much storage space as I can get, and having an open desk... as cool as they look... would kill all the drawer / file space that a traditional desk gives...
Umm, no, it is. I have my display on my desk, so I think I know whether it makes any noise or not. How would you credibly dispute that? What would be my motivation to lie about it? I'll restate what I said though, to rule out any ambiguity. My 3007-HC makes no noise that I can hear when I...
There is no "right" answer to this questions since everyone's needs and preferences are different. I just went from 2 x 20" to a 30" + 20" and I couldn't be happier. I know that I like this better than I'd like 2 x 24" for several reasons. First, the S-IPS High Color panel of the 30" is great...
I don't think the problem is your colorimeter, but it could be the software. I had to update my Spyder2 software to the latest to get it to work. The 3007 doesn't have any manual controls, however with compatible card, driver, and software you don't need them. With the Spyder2, I don't adjust...
I was told that this type of panel will display dead pixels as black, so I made the whole screen white and looked closely and found nothing. Is there a better "official" way to check for dead pixels?
Also, mine is completely silent as far as I can tell.... with my head a couple inches from...
Its not the same S-IPS panel... in my opinion it is a lot better. The old LG panel was the same as the Mac 30" display. This is a newer LG panel used so far by Dell and HP on their latest 30" display. The old one was 72% of the NTSC color gamut, while the new one (HC) is 92%... which is huge...
While I kind of agree with what you are saying, it isn't that bad to have two different technologies. I just upgraded one of my displays to the gorgeous S-IPS Dell 3007-HC 30", and my second display is now a Samsung 204T 20", which is not S-IPS. I've calibrated them each and they look find...
This is the key. The shifts in shadow detail are dramatic with only the tilt or turn of the head. For photo work, this is really, really bad. Think about it. If you are trying to process an image and get the shadow detail exposed correctly, its near impossible with this shifting going on...
Sorry, I misread your post about single link. It needs dual link to get the native resolution, and I am not positive but I think it will scale to full screen if connected to single link... but obviously the text would be huge. I don't know this positively, but I thought I had read it before.
The box is 33" x 11" x 27"
The display doesn't have a scaler... 2 resolutions only. My nVidia card scales to anything I throw at it though, so its not a problem for PC use if your card scales.
That setup is pretty kickin. I don't think I'd like the second 30" up top though, as it would be way to high for my liking. I have the 30 and one 20 right now... a second 20 is about as much as I could ever imagine wanting. Thats whats great about technology now... you can configure this...
