    I ordered the LG today. Despite NCX's constant bashing of this monitor I have to see it for myself at that price. Many satisfied owners on various forums and I was able to physically see the wide gamut version and the ASUS locally and came away impressed in my brief time playing with it...

    I've swapped from "green" to "red" and back again based on driver support over the years. Nvidia has had it together for many years now and no matter the speed of the hardware I haven't seen a compelling reason to switch back. Not to mention, as noobman stated, Catalyst is a pain.

    Thanks for the feedback ob1. I considered one of these for my laptop too, but I'm obsessive about the amount of data I keep on it and for the price of one of these drives I can get a 128GB SSD as I don't need the large capacity.

    As I understand it, if a program is frequently used those parts of it accessed would be what ends up in the NAND. I have only a few regularly used programs and I tend to play one game at any given stretch of time thus my interest that this may be a good solution for me.

    No. I have no illusions of this matching SSD speeds. Just want to know, as an example, would load times for say game levels etc. show a noticeable reduction in time.

    Samsung 830 - not so good review?

    In my real world usage, it's been a rock. The only issue has been the half-baked windows firmware update which I was stupid enough to believe might actually work. Luckily a complete power and data cable disconnect was all that was needed and it acted like nothing ever happened.
