Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I did clean it with alcohol.
The socket is white.
It left a grey stain across it
Sorry if you had a hard time reading my post, I was angry when typing and not thinking clearly.
And no. It stated it WOULD SUPPORT AM3+
Thats why I bought one
It didnt say "we are only giving beta support"...
So first off, im going to say that I have maybe made one post on this forum since i joined it. I am more of a lurker than a poster. Im that guy in the trees lookin in on women through their bedroom windows. Now that I got that out of the way time to post my RMA issues with Asus and warn any...
i just popped in my audigy 2 sound card which worked fine with my phenom, causing all sorts of crashes with my setup with the fx8120 now... LOL.... they need to fix our bios!!!
F8D ???? 3027 i believe is the new bios for that board ??? were you asking me ???
I dont have any of those games, i will tell you my friend makes me play that game dungeon defenders, thats the only game i got a BSOD on, but from what i read its the ATI drivers that do it. All my other games...
baked my motherboard, all is fine now, its a crosshair iv using beta bios for bulldozer, 300mhz fsb at 4.5ghz is stable, going for 320mhz fsb and 4.65 ghz today, still makes alittle noise but its working now ever since i baked the board, im sure this doesnt use as much voltage as my 140w phenom...
well i checked every single tiny thing to the T, and its gatta be the board.... the thing is - the board was FINE until i installed the bulldozer... ive heard people having all sorts of troubles with putting bulldozers on this board... i should have never bought a bulldozer and saved my board...
I cant pinpoint the noise, i thought it was cpu but now im thinking its the chipset on my motherboard, because a core would stop working on my phenom ii 965be when i put it in, and now its doing the same thing for bulldozer!!! it only happens after i play a game for about a half hour !!! then i...
I have a crosshair iv extreme motherboard, and for some reason it passes prime95 with both of my processors phenom ii 965be, and fx8120 BOTH work fine, prime95 passes. i can run it for hours. But as soon as i play a game or something, and then close it, a thread will hang on cinebench, and if i...
wow, figured id try one more time since the RMA wasnt going to be from nearly 2 weeks from now, works this time after i popped the cpu in again.. ill hold off for now but im still iffy on this cpu, it still makes a funny noise during prime95. max cpu temp 51c max core temp 45c on prime95 at...
yeah, i have a hope that they may send me a 8150 this time, i hear they are binning alot of 8120's that should have been 6 core or 4 core cpus since they failed to go as 8150. i think i was able to overclock so high with such a low voltage because one core was not drawing much power since it was...
no, its not just overclocked man.... stock voltage/ stock clock/ stock everything, i noticed the games still didnt work right .... thats when i realised, prime95 wouldnt pass on stock voltage either. Ive found actually numerous people with fx-8120's having the same problem at stock voltage...
I also assume since i had a defective chip, it allowed me to goto high frequencys on very low voltage because one core wasnt working properly from day 1. From day 1 i had problems in certain games like i described in my first post.
sorry you did set me off, because you were acting like i fried it, and from the horses mouth you said over 1.5 volts they can sustain, like i said i DID NOT put it over 1.4volts even. if anything 1.42 volts max ive ever put into it. And from day 1 it made a strange noise. Thats what set me off...
wow, its obvious its a bad chip, and your still going on about it ?Im overclocker. Your a noob defending amd because you got a good chip, unlike the rest who are mad that they got defective chips. Get real man. AMD sent out some bad chips this run. Its obvious, and if you wasted 200+ dollars on...
