I spoke with NewEgg... items are "Deactivated" when:
1. Something is discontinued or no longer availible
2. Re-supply dates unclear
3. Future availibility may not be possible
In the mean time (since I have been waiting way too f#$king long for those cards), I got a
BFG GTX295 OCFU :D
$ isn’t an issue... I just don’t want any Video Lag when it comes to games. Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, Diablo III (when it decides to grace us with its presence). 60 FPS during a full load is what I’m seeking… Full load meaning, Running in to a room in Modern...
I dont think 1 would be overkill, considering I have seen test results w/ that exact resolution w/ AA maxed among other things and it wasnt @ the top of the food chain.
Crossfire HD 5870's overkill for 1680 x 1050 resolution?
Im specing out a new system, and I play primarily on a 22 LCD monitor using 1680 x 1050 resolution. So would two 5870s be overkill? Would their performance be bottlenecked with a Core i7 920 (2.66Ghz)? Let me know what you guys...
Who's they? ... Nvidia?
As far as issues... We have done everything besides swap for new hardware. I have a feeling the issues are due to lack of driver support... aka.. Ultra-High End gaming card, not tested w/ tons of different hardware.
Dual GTX285's vs. Single GTX295 .... ?
Thoughts?
My father has a single GTX295 and is running into alot of issues in Call of Duty: World @ War (Locking up, black screen, etc..)
Cost isnt really an issue, i just want something that smokes & doesnt freeze up 8 times a gaming session.
