No it doesn't. If you're in an all-Windows house it doesn't do user checking. Only Mac connections and only 10 in the low-end license of Mac OS X Server. I saw one Mac, so you're ok there. Mac OS X can use up to 16TB volumes. I have personally used a 3.5TB RAID with it. Mac OS X...- codepoet

The Xserve (and Xserve RAID) uses HFS+J, which is not beta. The only thing remotely beta about the FS an Xserve could use would be StorNext in Xsan, but that's only beta because Xsan is beta; the FS has been out for quite some time. 75 lbs x 2 chassis = 150 lbs. 1.5 lbs x 12 drives x 2 chassis = 18 x 2 = 36 lbs. Misc. hardware = 10-20 lbs. 150 + 36 + 20 = 206lbs. Mount that sucker low, man. :)- codepoet
