    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

The USB signals do not run through your HDMI, DVI or VGA connection. The USB ports on the Sceptre first need to be hooked up to your computer to work via a USB cable. The Sceptre just acts as a port replicator the way some USB keyboards have multiple USB ports on them. This is a real minor...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Are you using the DVI cable that came with the monitor? People have had problems with those as some are faulty from the manufacturer. Do you get the same lines/display problems using a VGA connection? If the screen is giving the same screw-ups in the display using VGA then return the monitor for...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Not all 22" monitors out now will display HD through their DVI ports. The 22" X2Gen (selling online for $249.99 from Costco) reportedly does NOT do HD and neither do the earlier 22" Acer models. But check the specs - I believe the 22" Viewsonic's HD capabilities are limited to a maximum of 720p...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Yes, the maker of the 22" TN panel (CMO) also makes their own brand of monitor called the Chimei 22ID. I don't know that picture quality is perfectly identical with all of the growing number of 22"-based LCD monitors out there, though (close to 30 brands now). If you study their specs they do...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

All of these 22" TN panels are made by the same manufacturer (CMO). They all have the same viewing angle and light bleed issues, but are nonetheless an amazing deal for the money. As for seeing them in a store before buying, I disagree. Every store I've been in has 30+ different LCD monitors of...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

New owners HAVE to spend some time with this monitor: (1) making sure their graphics card and driver settings are right, and (2) with the monitor itself making sure the settings on it are optimal. If you do, you will be well rewarded with a sweet monitor for an amazing price. (And just like the...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

All of the 25 or so different 22" LCD monitors available right now (for $250-$400) are all made with the same 22" TN panel by CMO (Chimei). I'm not sure who makes the 20.1" panel for Sceptre being discussed. Since this thread is about the 22" Sceptre x22wg let's be sure no one is confused by the...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Yes, I would think it would. And if for some reason you still aren't happy, you can take it back to any Costco warehouse for a full refund (including your shipping). BTW: Why don't you ask Sceptre these questions? Their e-mail is: scp-sales@sceptre.com.

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

No, 1080 is not crappy - here's some 22" Sceptre 1080 screen shots from elsewhere on this forum - and also some other screen shots posted on another forum. I got one of the first 22" Sceptre LCDs when they came out last October. There's been a firmware update since that improves the 1080p to...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

If I were you, I wouldn't give up just yet. Have you downloaded a new driver for your graphics card? I know NVidia has a new one out because I downloaded it and my x22wg now runs awesome. I read somewhere that ATI released a new driver on January 5th. Also, have you checked out Sceptre's FAQ's...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Sure. All the way down = 14.75". But as you begin to tilt it back the range of motion in the tilt head adds a little bit of height, up to a max of 15.65". With my preferred tilt it comes in about 15.2". So factor that in. BTW: All the way up = 20.25".

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

1600 x 1200 isn't going to work well no mater what. I don't know what kind of laptop you have or what kind of graphics card/chip set it uses for output, but you might try downloading the latest driver for it to see if it then can offer the Sceptre's native 1680 x 1050 resolution or a customizing...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

The DVI cable I got with my first Sceptre x22wg in October was bum, but the one I got with my second unit 2 weeks ago was a totally different cable, and a good one. I think Sceptre is (wisely) using a different supplier now. As for the backlight problem, it won't ever be perfect, but many...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

Point taken. To go from 1680x1050 native res to 1980x1080, though close, would be impossible without scaling. I must say it looks darn nice in 1080i, though. Some games, like my favorite, Resistance, are only capable of up to 720p. As far as the artifacts in 1080p, yes, tiny red pixels in very...

    Sceptre x22wg-Gamer 22" LCD

No one to my knowledge has ever found one of these 22" Sceptre models on sale at a Costco warehouse. They are an online item only. I did take my first one back, though, because it had some stuck pixels. I got my money refunded no problem - even my shipping - and then ordered a replacement. The...
