I got my Sony 13.3" SZ last week and am very happy with it. The battery life when watching a DVD on 4/5 brightness with the sound way up is around 2:15-2:30. I haven't done anything extraordinary with it yet, but so far I am satisfied with the purchase. The only thing I don't like is that the...
Agreed. I bought one of the original 505R Pro Series laptops several years ago. 1 replacement hard drive and battery later it's still running great and looks contemporary (1" thick magnesium case). I recently purchased an HP 6000T that I have decided to send back due to its poor battery life...
I just spoke to HP tech support. They said 55 minutes of battery life when watching a DVD in a window on low brightness is normal. It can be even shorter in full screen mode. They estimate 2:15 for browsing the web with brightness on low without using WIFI.
Worthless . . .
Thanks for the feedback guys. I made a mistake in my first post -it's running off the DC power scheme not AC. I also tried cutting the time to standby for the hard drive back and saw no noticeable improvement.
I just bought an HP DV6000t with the Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T5600 (1.83 GHz), 15.4" monitor, nvidia Geforce 7400, and wireless/bluetooth.
If I hit play on a DVD, pull the power cord out, and let it go into it's std AC power scheme[edit-DC not AC] -with bluetooth and wifi turned...
I purchased this monitor because I got tired of waiting for my 24" Benq. The day it arrived Newegg got their shipment of Benqs. The monitor is brand new in the unopened box I received from Newegg. I will let it go for $649 + shipping. References available upon request.
I ordered the Acer yesterday night. The selling point for me was the higher contrast and 1" larger size. It is not perfect, but the lessor of evils. I'm going to let the market play out for the next 6-8 months. If (when) something significantly better comes along I will probably sell the...
posted by someone on newegg "Other Thoughts: The difference between a Sony SDM-P234 and a dell 24" is like the difference between a Ferrari ENZO and a Geo Metro" ouch! :D
I haven't read anything about input lag on the Acer, but I believe at least two people out of the limited number of people on the forum that have purchased them have received defective panels. At this point I think it's best to wait for another generation of products to pass before buying a...
I need some help deciding on what to replace my current 17" CRT monitor with. My use is as follows:
65% web browsing
15% movies/tv
15% gaming
5% typing (office computer for that)
Ideally, I would like to have just one screen since I believe I will be moving within 6 months for my job...
