Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Is this even possible? I know that someone had previously set up a "fake" .Mac server (details here: http://www.drijf.net/dototto/wwwmac.html), but are there any updates to the MobileMe version of things in OS X that would prevent me from doing this? I'm looking to set up an iDisk, iCal backups...
Leopard has boot camp built in, Tiger does not. You can no longer download boot camp to run it on Leopard. As far as I know, if you have boot camp downloaded you can still use it with Tiger, but Apple will no longer "support" it. I have Leopard on my MBP and I love it, just for all the fancy...
MacBook Pro all the way. I just got mine like a week ago and it's the best machine I've ever used. I get like 4-4.5 hours of battery life with brightness down and bluetooth off. It's amazing. I have the middle model one with the 160GB HD and the 256MB 8600M GT. It's seriously amazing.
Oh BTW...
Personally I didn't hear a whole lot of difference between the 5G and the 6G Classic. Then again, it was my friend's classic and it was with the crappy Apple headphones.
Yeah, two finger right clicking isn't enabled by default. You have to check the box for it in system preferences. If you also enable trackpad tapping for clicking, you can tap with two fingers and have it recognize it as a right click. Nifty.
Wow...um...that's definitely weird. I tried looking for a while but to no avail. The only thing I suspect is the CMOS/clock/BIOS battery could be bad...you might call up MSI and ask them what to do. Although, tech support usually isn't very helpful in situations like this.
Hmm...possibly. I can't be entirely sure. Like I said though, if you do delete the XP partition, you can just run those commands in the recovery console and you should be able to boot again. If you can't end up resizing your Vista partition, you could just make an extra NTFS partition in...
True you can turn off simple file sharing in XP Pro, but that doesn't really password protect shares I don't believe. You can pick certain users on your network/domain that will be allowed access to it, but then I think your usernames have to be the same on all the PCs.
You said something about DNS...do you have a domain name that you're trying to route to your home server?
Also, have you been typing the port number after the domain/IP? Like example.com:8080 or 12.34.5.67:8080?
Also, what time server have you tried to sync with in the past? Time.windows.com?
Oh, and when your laptop starts, go into your BIOS and tell me if that clock is wildly out of sync like it is in Windows.

Well if it does end up screwing up your system, you can always use the Vista install disk to repair your MBR and boot manager, so I think it's safe to continue.
If you do manage to screw things up by marking it as active, pop in your Vista install disk and boot from it. When the box comes up...
As far as I know, with XP, password protecting shared files is basically not possible. I can't tell you how many countless hours I spent on Google and on other forums trying to find how to password protect XP shares, and unless I managed to completely overlook it, I didn't find anything. With...
Is it possible at all? I have an 8gb Corsair Flash Survivor GT and another 2gb Corsair Flash Voyager standard, so no U3. MojoPac is not an option, as I need to be able to use it on the lab computers at my school, which I don't have admin access to. Is there any way at all? I have portable...
