Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Offtopic but maybe similar. Security of something I can "know" is better than security that I cannot "know", and even worse is security I cannot "control".
So, while, sure, FOSS/OSS advocates all nod.... the latter is the situation with the "black box" device that all must have... that is, our...
Oddly, AI probably cuts out the middle manager even moreso than the worker bee. But again, in a short time, the worker bee will lose that final bit of creative problem solving skill by leaning on AI for all answers. And no, we "won't check" AI's answers anymore. Just like we assume that...
Well... I was thinking sort of the opposite (sorta). As someone that hires and interviews people, tech candidates are completely lost without Google nowadays, and IMHO, in a very short period of time, it will be AI that is required by the candidate to "present actual knowledge".
This one is tough, because there isn't EV electricity vs. normal electricity. So, they either have to wrongfully triple tax non-EV people or they have to target EV... and in this case the vehicles itself. Now... if there was a way to tap into "usage", they could do that and it would be similar...
The 3070 you posted, I liked (on your post) because it's a very very very very rare and exceptional deal. So, duh, yes, of course, if you can get a 5090 for $200, go for it. Wasn't trying to suggest otherwise.
I hate to suggest better than 1070 cards that are still pretty ancient. Just doesn't feel right give the newness of the overall platform involved. To "save" some dollars you could also go with old team red. Maybe a used 5700XT, for example. That should be doable at $200 (I bought one a few...
Maybe a used 3060 12GB version (usually $250 though) or a 4060 8GB (which can be found for closer to that $200 mark)? Given the newness of the overall platform, I'd try to go newer, but at $200 (assuming USD), no, unlikely.
Hard to go newer at $200 (or even $270).
Who knows, maybe you can...
