Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Never meant to express it was exactly an equalizer. Just used that for reference. Obviously it's a software item that fudges the sound. I must of cunfused you??
Also if you are a gamer that wants max FPS then this should be turned off. Clearly this would use more CPU time to create that...
Amps is amps is amps. If your computer on load draws say 500 watts then that PSU heat load will be the same on a single or multirail PSU. Your asking some PSU type to deliver 500 watts. What's extreme about it?
Do you think a multirail PSU will run ice cold while delivering 500...
We don't live in a technical world. You have goons all over the place buying items from so called reviews claiming this or that PSU is the best. When his so called "technical" peers made those reviews in the first place.
Show us one instance where a multirail is more STABLE than a single...
+1 exactly. Almost all are not. Every video card issue you read about leads back to a multi rail PSU. And having to decide what compenent goes on what rail as not to overload it..... Again stick with the simple single rail method. You can buy 10 rails if they made such a nightmare. OOPS my...
Anytime you add the convenience factor you are looking for reduced performance. In this case the voltage drops across each connector in a modular supply. Which causes increased wattage output and excess heat buildup. Look at the older better PC Power and Cooling designs. They shy away from...
"I know the the output capacity of PSU's degrades with use, but over what time frames and with what consequences?"
Can you explain the above sentence?

If you're looking for a gaming PSU out of the Antec then no. Simple computer workstation running MS Office and browsing the internet then yes it'd be fine. It only has 336 watts max off the 12v rails. Then there's the issue with multiple rails..... Single is better.

Like I stated before, the hard part is done by the thoughtful guys on http://www.thompdale.com/bash_amplifier/bash_amp.htm . All the schematics and diagrams are here. All you have to do is read. If you have a multimeter that measures caps and diodes you are in the game.
First thing I would...
Check out the schematic here > http://www.thompdale.com/bash_amplifier/bash_amp.htm .
Don't thing you can extend it unless your chop the end connector, insert longer wires then resolder end connector on. Pretty easy to do. It's a DIN cable anyway not a PS2.
