I have a single Sapphire 7970 and play all my games at 5760x1080. With the card overclocked to 1.2Ghz, I can play BF3 on Ultra settings with motionblur and HBAO and get a steady and very playable 30-60 fps. I really love this card :)
The single biggest limiting graphic setting that really seems...

I was having problems overclock my first time through, and found out it's because I had Overdrive enabled while using Trixx to overclock. I am currently pulling 1.2/1600 at stock voltage and the card hanging around 70c. I'm testing it in SWTOR maxed out at 5760x1080 and so far no problems...
I would think so, but never really seems to go above 40% as others have mentioned.
I tried doing manual fan settings, but I still crashed before the card even hit 70f. So I'ts not heat problems, which was my only guess. Could it be I'm not increasing memory clocks along with the core clocks? I...
So far, not very good results.
Bumped up the voltage to 1.2 and was able to get it stable at 1175mhz/1575. Once I bumped the core to 1200mhz, I could not get it stable at all even up to 1.3v. At 1200mhz I had hard black screen system crashes. I did leave the fan on auto, so it could possibly...
Sapphire
Core: 1075
Memory: 1575
"Power control settings" + 20% but I don't think this is effecting much
Temp ~62c
Skyrim at 5760x1080
Anything higher causes the game to crash to desktop. No bsods at all. Going to try to up the voltage and see if I can get more out of it
Got my 7970 installed...this thing is awesome! 30fps with this card is A LOT different than 30fps on my 5870.
One problem: I cranked Overdrive up to the max, and anything that uses the gpu crashes. Driver problem or maybe voltage problem?
