Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
add the host.domain name into your DNS Forwarder. Its because of NAT Reflection

From experience when your are using the same SSID and want "wifi roaming", you want them to be different channels or they won't hand-off correctly. You do want them to use the same channel width tho, example 20 or 40 MHz. Hard set the channel width if your router/ap supports it.
just a side note on dansguardian.. You can set logging so it uses the same format as squid. This way whatever reporting package you use with squid, you can use with dansguardian.
Been very happy with 2.0. I've been using 2.0 beta for some time now with no issues.. Using 2.1 which seems to be as good but its to0 early to tell since there is going to me a major change to the binaries soon(freebsd 9)
Sad to say but i'm being laid-off from the company I've worked for over 8+ years. Good news, they are giving us almost 2 months to find a new job within the company or outside. Since I would like to stay with the company, my resume right now is gear towards them but I will be working on one for...
Kingston memory has worked well on my D510 board. Like you mention, SM has a link about which memory that has been tested. If anyone plans to use a SM, I would pick memory off of that list.. Anything outside that list is asking for trouble.
Agreed! :-) and i dont want to be a Untangle vs pfSense thread either, there are already toooo many.
I'll have to try unTangle bandwidth control again... It took me while but mine of pfSense is rock solid.. It did take hours of tweaking and it does need better documentation tho. One feature...
I agree with your statements for the most part but i dont agree with 'heavier firewall duties'. What do you mean by that? pfSense is a pure router/firewall that's it core where it makes its bread and money.
I've found untangle to offer great logging but pfSense does better at real-time...

2.1-DEVELOPMENT i386
you can get the latest here at http://snapshots.pfsense.org/
its stable but any update could break the system since it changes daily.
I think I can do this but I want ask before I try it. Can I remove my OS drive and slap it in the dock with another hard drive(same size, model) and boot into WHS 2011 then setup the RAID 1 mirroring to the other drive using the Icy Dock's software? I want to avoid re-installing the OS or doing a...
