OK... Managed to get the cables a bit better sorted (still pretty rough though)... still waiting on Left Angle Sata though to get the drives in - so now Windows at the moment. Photos below of how the APX-140 sites inside the SG07 on the ASRock board. Was able to boot into Bios - CPU temp...

Hard to explain... but yes it screws down just fine. A bracket with three screws tightens the cooler to the CPU. You loosen up the two end screws, then push the cooler over a bit and then tighten the screws back up (now off centre). Because of this the central pressure screw does not align...

Yea... 2.5cm total height of the fan is too big. These Scythe slimlines come in at 1.2cm - so having a quick look, it should be able to fit on top of the apx-140 aok. Actually the 1600rpm version looks pretty good as well (a bit quieter). Will try and see what I can get going later this...

Ouch.... hope that does happen with this board. This cooler fan looks like an option to go on top of the apx-140. This should fit nicely under the HDD power cable / left angle sata cable. http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/products/scythefans/slipstream-120-slim-2000 The regular fan size of...

OK...will try again to route the cables (thanks for the encouragement.) The gap between the pci slot and the heat pipes is OK... you can push the heat sink over a little bit and it fits fine (just can't screw down the pressure plate in the required spot...but this is optional anyway.). At...

Struggled all day with the apx-140 cooler and this mobo. The cooler fits in my SG07 case ok, but takes up so much room - hard to get the cables around it... May have to look for another cooler... Cheers Chumby

Hi all... my motherboard came in the other day so will start my build soon. I have a thermalright apx-140 cooler... not sure if it will fit or not yet (looks like the heat pipes may protrude over the pci slot slightly). Saying that I may be able to mount it closer to the inside of the board...
