    I don't see how the placement of the res would make a difference because its a closed loop. I can see how the slow movement will make the water drop to ambient and then rapidly reach max heat as it hits the first block. A faster pump it sounds like would make the temps somewhere in the middle...

    The fan is blowing case air (like 2 degrees higher than ambient) through the rad. So a faster pump allows for better block-> water heat transfer? Not the ripples and such in the block itself?
