Docking stations have upper limit on hard drive size. Why?

If you look at docking stations for internal hard drives, they will say this thing supports up to 1TB.... 2TB.... 4TB.... and so forth. Why is there a limit on the size of hard drives? I can understand if the spec says "supports hard drives using up to 12 volt motor" or "supports hard drives...

Virtual Machine and Blu Ray disks

Thanks for all the replies. I have not tried any decrypted BD mount. In the device manager, the optical drive shows as DVD ROM. It would be nice to be able to change it to BD ROM or something.

Virtual Machine and Blu Ray disks

I have Microsoft Virtual Server on a Vista host. I have a blu ray disk drive (LG GGC-H20L), and it works fine with Vista. I have several guest OS running.... Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows XP, etc... anyway, when I put in a blu ray disk in my Vista host, NONE of the guest OS can...

    asp.net question

You have three easy options: session state, query string and cookies. Another option may be hitting the database and storing the state, but probably not worth it. I would go with session state and try to keep the object small. If the object becomes too large, then you may have the option of...

good wireless keyboard/mouse for 10+ feet?

You won't be able to use S510. I have one and its range is 5 or 6 ft at best. If you're going to spend 100 bucks on rocketfish, I would seriously consider dinovo edge for 50 bucks more. And at 10 ft or more, I would look for bluetooth keyboard/mouse only.... nothing else. And all...

    Logitech Z-5500 Alternative ?

I'm not sure if this applies to people from Canada, but you should be able to get z5500 for cheaper from Dell with online coupon and get free shipping. If you're not too picky about the audio quality, z5500 should be more than enough. Personally, I think I would get the z5500 now, and later...

    Undecided on Case

I have LC17-B and I love it. I got an ATX board and wanted something I can 1. run as a server, 2. play games with, and 3. watch movies on DVD/Blu ray discs. So this could be completely irrelevant information to you. Pros. 1. It looks like NSK2480 is not as tall. I am not sure if my CPU...

    Cardreader install for htpc

Yep. For example, this one uses 3.5 external bay, and hides it behind cover. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163055 It's nice to see that the card readers are so cheap these days.
