Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks! :D
Time to save for a 265 then, and watch for sales...I think I have seen them as low as $150??
How about this one: Sapphire Radeon R7 260X 2GB GDDR5 HDMI/DVI-I/DP OC Version PCI-Express Graphics Card 11222-06-20G
Does the EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti Superclock w/G-SYNC Support 2GB...
I think for cost reasons I may end up going with the 265, as recent prices have the 270 at $200. This will not happen for a little while yet, so I have time to consider. Also, anything on the nvidia side that is good bang for the buck?
Got everything together, and it all seems to run well. I have not installed the 9800GT yet, seeing what the built-in 4400 can do. I installed an old PCI Wireless Network card because I don't have any network connections where the computer is, we run wireless for the most part at home.
The...
I will use the built in graphics, and run some tests, then install the 9800GT, then run some more tests. I know I do need to get a more current graphics card eventually. Thanks!
Done and ordered! Very excited. Thank you everyone for your advice!
I just have to save up for a new Video Card, but I have a good start right now. I think the 9800GT video card will be a nice improvement over what the Haswell i3 has for built-in video, right? Or am I better off using the...
I was looking at that card. I do need to save up a bit, but waiting will probably be better than getting a 250 now and being disappointed.
It seems that arond $150~$160 is the price of a decent video card now. My monitor is only a 20" 1600 x 900 so that would be the resolution I would play...
My wife and I currently use Macs as our main computers. Our backup strategy on the most basic level involves the use of Time Machine. Basically our Macs are backed up to our own external 1TB drives, we each have one. I would like to get a second drive for each of us and store them offsite...
R7 265 seems to be around $160, so I may have to wait on that one. I don't want to spend less and not be satisfied.
I can probably do that along with my CPU/Mobo/8 GB RAM. Unfortunately from quickly looking I just see the Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS certified Power...
I currently have a 9800GT and a HD4670. I was considering replacing this card, I would like to spend between $100 to $150. Should I go with a Radeon HD 7770, Radeon R7 250X or save more and go with a Radeon HD 7850, R7 265? I am currently playing Skyrim and Diablo III, but looking to get into...
Give me a couple of suggestions for the good PSU around $60? I will add this to my CPU/Mobo/RAM build. I will also use everything else I have currently. The video card will be my next upgrade, either a 7850 or R7 265.
So would either of these recommended PSU be OK, the Corsair 430CX V2 430W PSU or the Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX500)? This would be what I would upgrade right before upgrading the video card. I am trying to this in steps. So I would get the CPU/Mobo/RAM, use...
