Absolutely correct. But you also retrieve anything that you do not already have backed-up (or vitally need) at the first hint of problems, and that it often not soon enough. Sometimes the first sound you hear is also the last sound you hear coming from that drive.
Honestly, other than on memory benchmarks, you get no noticeable benefit from running the ragged edge and the opportunity for frustration. Not really worth pushing the limits beyond the bragging rights.
I cannot comment on other games, but be aware that most Blizzard games use the CPU more than the GPU.
As others have mentioned, look at your CPU and GPU load while playing and see which one is over 95% load and you have likely identified your bottleneck.
I dug a little deeper and most adapters, even those claiming to be DVI-D, can only handle 1080p or 1220p max resolution.
If you want to display a resolution higher than 1200p, the adapters that are proven to work cost $100+ and I hate to spend that much money on a band-aid solution.

Thanks, I have been having the same problem and just assumed the new install failed. After install, the next boot seems to take a lot longer than usual (because it is reverting the driver) then I am back to the old driver.
I think that the time for a POST screen has passed. All of the computers that I have go past the post screen so fast that it is practically impossible to freeze it so that you can read anything off of it.
