Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If anyone is surprised by this, their head's been stuck in the sand. A lot of these "great leaders" turn out to be awful people who were also obsessive enough about a particular vision to pull it off (often after many failures). Anybody still think Zuckerberg or Palmer Lucky are good...
I think MS has a clear vision of where they want this hardware to be. I know many were underwhelmed by the actual experience of the first hololens, but the concepts are still killer. I would kill to be able to use a capable AR device on the shop floor at work - to be able to overlay part designs...
And to think, Disney owns even more franchises they didn't create now that they've bought Fox. Who's looking forward to Aliens: Rainbow Star Adventures - The Musical???
This is not exactly surprising - big companies care about the bottom line, not the service nor the availability. I live on a cul-de-sac surrounded by Comcast fiber, but with no fiber run down our road. They don't want to touch our little road because the number of houses is too small. Luckily, a...
The more outspoken Bioware employees lately have been real pieces of work. This douchebag should be canned. How much worse can you get than being a dick about the death of a widely-beloved member of your own industry?
I run solution sets for large stress analysis models almost daily at work. Runs can take from 30 minutes to several hours. Even a 10% reduction in runtime can mean 1 or 2 extra runs the same day. That's more than enough reason for my boss to throw a few grand down for a faster machine. I am one...
Might be optimistic, but I'm hoping for a 25%-30% increase. They've said before there are clear improvements that can be made. I would be surprised if Jim Keller left them with an architecture that can't evolve and improve significantly - seems like that was the basis for a lot of the design...
I'm interested to see what Intel can come up with. They have far more resources than AMD and I want to see an Nvidia competitor that can put them back in their place. I can always hope Navi will live up to the promises, but Vega was pretty disappointing.
This is my biggest worry, too. Disney is the ultimate money-over-originality machine. I have been totally unimpressed by the vast majority of their recent films (Star Wars definitely included). I like movies and I worry what cinema becomes when most of it is just about money and merchandise...
I love reading WCCFTech only because it's clear that every article is published as quickly as humanly possible, with zero regard for accuracy, clarity, or editing. It can produce some rather entertaining paragraphs and typos. I also love it when they profusely claim they have exclusive...
If there's haptic feedback so you can tell you're on the sensor, I'm in. Face scanning is clumsier than a fingerprint scanner anyways. The X seems like such a blatant downgrade that way, I was a little surprised Apple got away with it (only a little).
