Rant: switched back to IPS after being on OLED for a year

Yea, PRetty much sums up the point I was making to the other user. Its close.

Rant: switched back to IPS after being on OLED for a year

Its so close that the difference is not noticable unless they are side by side. That is in comparison to OD-OLED.

Rant: switched back to IPS after being on OLED for a year

Glad you made the right move. The PG32UQX is the best gaming PC monitor for HDR right now. Sure it has many short comings, but HDR image quality is not one of them.

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

This couldn't be further from the truth. HDR on pc has been working perfectly since the Launch of Windows 11. Auto HDR, and now RTX HDR work incredibly well, sometimes better then native HDR implementations.

    ASUS Rog Swift 32 inch PG32UCDM with 31.5″ QD-OLED Panel, 4K 240hz

I have to agree here as well. Both my 32UCDM and 32UQX are incredibly accurate.

    ASUS Rog Swift 32 inch PG32UCDM with 31.5″ QD-OLED Panel, 4K 240hz

The motion clarity is def something that will be missed, but the tradeoffs like VRR flicker made some games unusable for me. Capping the Frame rate would help, but defeats the purpose of a 240hz display. I love the direction OLED is going, but for now its back to the PG32UQX.

    ASUS Rog Swift 32 inch PG32UCDM with 31.5″ QD-OLED Panel, 4K 240hz

Agreed! I can't wait for that moment honestly. I am always chasing the best tech in the PC hardware space.

    ASUS Rog Swift 32 inch PG32UCDM with 31.5″ QD-OLED Panel, 4K 240hz

I am in that boat. Loved the motion performance of the PG32UCDM, but the lack of HDR impact and brightness really left me missing the PG32UQX.

    PG32UQX blooming issue

I picked up another PG32UQX from microcenter yesterday. It is a 2022 model, and when compared to my 2021 launch model, blooming is improved significantly.
