Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It took ASUS a month to RMA one of my motherboards last year... I got so fed up with their nonchalance I ordered a gigabyte board.
When I called them I asked how many people they have on staff and the guy told me it was less than 15 people who take care of the RMAs *GLOBALLY*
I don't know how...
For anyone experiencing microstuttering, I'd recommend checking your DPC latency to see if there are additional issues -- http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml
I read this past page of posts and I have nothing but extremely positive things to say about Eyefinity (AMD) based gaming.
Yeah, there are some quirks, but most things can be easily overcome by editing an ini file or using google to see how other people fixed it.
I've played WoW, SWTOR...
For those of you having trouble with HP support, I have had nothing but success and ease when using the keyword "xw series running microsoft"
try it! you get someone who speaks english as a native language!
i think the awesome HP service should be noted... I have 3 of these in eyefinity and I have had 5 total (wasn't happy with 2 cuz i had backlight bleed on one and a red dot, which was not a dead pixel, on another)
each time they came to my house, let me set it up, and took the old monitor...
i have three of the zr24w monitors from HP in eyefinity and i love it.
the only thing i dont like about them is the lack of inputs but displayport is going to be the future hookup as far as i have seen and it has that =)
i really like them.
actually i found out the answer to my question on https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php+++++++7480-WUSF-3601#which
it is supported, or at least appears to be
i finally took the plunge after 5 days or so of 90 brightness and 80 contrast on this monitor. I've got brightness down to 40 and i don't feel quite so blind anymore. i realized i getting headaches from squinting so much.
if you buy it for $32 from newegg is it possible to register it on steam for the achievements??
i'm guessing it's probably not but figured it's worth asking! it does look like a heck of a lot of fun
Thankfully the woman from HP didn't figure it out for me. I felt really really stupid when the new monitor had the same "problem" because that meant it wasnt the monitor and that it was something else. At least I get the privilege of sharing my stupid mistake anonymously. ha ha.
I'm the person...
ooook if any of you read my previous post that I quoted I have an update. Firstly, HP customer support is pretty awesome. They came to my house and delivered a new monitor at like 9am. But... the new monitor had the same problem, or so I thought.
I'm gonna look really stupid for reporting...
