Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Using 14.2 beta with the latest Bf4 patch is close to perfect for me. However, regardless of the API I am using, I still need to implement "Gametime.MaxVariableFps 59.94999" and "RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 0" if I want to play smoothly with vsync enabled. Oh well... Subjectively, input lag...
Those articles are focused on what is happening with vsync disabled...
From your second link:
"With vsync disabled, those short or "runt" frames may only occupy a handful of horizontal lines across the screen"
Vsync eliminates these kinds of artifacts even if frame pacing is disabled.
I am...
Hmmm... This analysis shows that Nvidia and AMD (w/o frame pacing) multi-GPU setups using traditional v-sync experience a similar level of frame variance. Secondly, I believe that v-sync does fix frame tearing, regardless of whether or not frame pacing is being implemented. Where have you seen...
Perhaps that is there approach then. V-sync + crossfire + frame pacing = ATI Radeon 9800 Pro class performance. If I disable V-sync and limit the engine's frame rate I still get moderate tearing.
These results seem to indicate that using v-sync with AMD's "unpaced" crossfire is at least as...
I didn't know engine would accept such a precise value. It looks like it can handle at least 4 significant figures. I updated my post with your findings.
CFX Induced BF4 Vsync Stutter Workaround - Written for n00bs
Steps:
1. In the catalyst control center add a profile for the bf4.exe file.
2. In the Frame Pacing drop down box of the bf4.exe profile select "Off".
3. In the main BF4 folder (where the bf4.exe is found) create text file called...
Covered up, as in, vsync frame deliveryness to the outputer thing negates any benefit frame pacing could produce? Will my frame time varience be consistent with vsync on and no frame pacing...
I love how much we talk about nVidia drivers in these AMD threads... Anyway, with the latest 13.11 beta (9.5) I am still forced to disable frame pacing in BF4 if I want to use vsync.
System: W8.1, 3960x, 7970s CFX'd
Does frame pacing even benefit the end-user when vsync is being used? If...
Shitty workaround: Disable frame pacing for the the bf4.exe and use a 360 controller. Disabling frame pacing sends the FPS back up to 60 but the mouse movement is still fairly irregular.
Grrr..... With vsync disabled I get 90+ FPS almost constantly. With vsync enabled I get 40FPS max..... I'm playing with ultra settings (no MSAA, low Post-AA, Super-sampled to 115%) at 1440p using CFX'd 7970s. Is anyone here using a similar setup and experiencing this same issue?
