Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to go with this one: MSI N580GTX Lightning Xtreme Edition GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3072MB

I was highly considering going with the 1.5GB but I plan on upgrading to dual monitors soon, so I might...
Thanks guys, would I really notice much difference between the 1.5GB and the 3GB versions if I am running BF3 on a single 1920x1200 monitor with the Intel 2600K and 16GB RAM?
Who makes the best GTX 580 card? Looking to order very soon and all the 580s on Newegg seem pretty similar, who makes the best one? I am looking for a reliable card that isn't too loud and has a quality HSF.
Thanks!
It sounds like you might have a bad stick of RAM, try running Memtest86+ on his system for at least 3 hours and you'll know if RAM is the issue.

If the RAM tests good, look at the power supply next. A lower quality PSU might not be able to supply...
Thanks for the link to save $20!
I already have a LIAN LI PC-A71F Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower case, I ordered it a while ago when Newegg had a $90 off special.

The review didn't address any concerns about long-term reliability. The review was only concerned with performance immediately after installation, but no one knows if this system will eventually leak and destroy the system it's installed within, or how reliable the pump is.
I'm tempted to put one of these in a machine that I am currently specing parts for, but I when I build a new machine, I design it to last four to five years and I rarely power off my PC, so reliability is a must for such a critical part of the system.
Would reliably of this part be a concern...
Danny,
Thanks for the advice. I stated my build date within two months because the hardware market seems to be in a state of flux at the moment, I want to see the top performers shake out before I make my purchase.
Thanks for your advice, for this build, lots of RAM is very important, and it doesn't appear that Sandy Bridge supports the amount of RAM that I need. I need 24GB at the minimum. This will be a dual-purpose workstation and occasional gaming machine.
Hi,
I built my last rig back in 2006 and it's held up well, but it's time for an upgrade. I want this build to last me another 4-5 years, so using high-quality parts is more important than saving a few dollars.
I'm mainly looking for some advice on the parts I have chosen below. I realize...
