Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I think u may be onto something... If I take the mouse cursor to the top of the VGA screen the picture "slides" up and I can see the very top of a window. I can also do this going side to side. It is as if the monitor is zoomed in and I am not able to see all of the picture on the screen at...
Hey ya XP is basically lying to me saying the VGA screen is at 1600x900.
I've tried other resolutions like 1280x768 and the DVI screen goes to that and again XP says the VGA screen is at that too...but it remains looking the same at that low res.
I called ATI and the support guy said...
I am trying to run dual monitors on a powercolor ATI radeon 7000 32MB PCI video card in a dell dimension 4700 desktop PC. The onboard intel gfx have been disabled by me in device manager.
I am trying to run 2x 20" wide screen LCDs (by LG) that have a native resolution of 1600x900. One is...
So an interesting twist...with everything at stock settings.
So I unplugged my 160GB SATA Samsung HDD. I used an old 120GB Seagate HDD and put XP on it. So far its running great. No trouble loading BF2 so far, loaded up right in 5 / 5 tries. Gonna run it for 7 days.
AS5 also has a "burn-in" time that it needs in order to settle and give optimal results.
I would also check and make sure the HSF has been 100% installed correctly.
Okay so I have an update on where I am at.
First, sorry for the delay in posting back, been real busy lately.
Okay so I *have flashed* the BIOS to F5. It was a flawless flash with absolutely no hiccups. Sadly, it has not improved my stability. I am running at stock speeds and voltages...
Thanks for replying. Flashing the BIOS to F8 will be my next move.
Quick edit here. Turns out my board is the GA EP35-DS3L. So the latest non-Beta BIOS is F5 not F8. I will flash to that one later tonight and then report back.
Hi again Bill,
Currently, the system is running stable at 10x233 vCore at 1.300v. Not sure the voltage mattered though, cuz CPU-Z and Speedfan both tell me its at 1.120v.
*Memtest86* I have it, from the UBCD, and tested my RAM at all stock settings after building it. I ran it for 5...
Hey thanks for all the replies, especially BillParish. I appreciate the in-depth advice a lot.
I should add that the PCIe freq has been locked at 100MHz the whole time.
*Update*
Brought multi down to 11x and set FSB to 233. Upped MCH voltv (+0.1). Also Upped vCore to 1.282-ish and...
Ok so I'm trying to OC this "great budget OCing chip" with this "great budget OCing Mobo."

Antec Earthwatts 430W
Current settings:
Multi = 12.5x

Nice work with the wires Cornelius. Thats a darn nice interior for an A900. Can I ask why you put the DVD drive and HDD so close together? It looks like it might have made wiring better at the expense of airflow.
I still have an X2 3800+ running on my s939 DFI Ultra-D. It's not a great overclocker. 2.5GHz max but for now I'm at 2.4GHz.
Got it used, had it for about 1 year now. Pretty happy with it still.
Dude, she looks real nice. I love the contrast going on there. As for the Kama bay, I'd say paint the mesh white as well (for 2 reasons).
1 - It will look pretty sweet with the added contrast (seeing the black fan through the white mesh. Will grab your attention more I think.
2 - It...
Yes that is a fairly good PSU. It may not be the quietest PSU out there but it is far from a generic brand. OCZ has great customer service as well, so in case the worst happens, RMA'ing it will be no biggie.
