Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've been experiencing BSODs on and off, usually in 72 hour intervals, with the 120gb model. Memory checks out. So does other hardware. Been working with their tech support on the issue.
Just wanted to say that I have the 120G version, and I'm getting the same BSOD behavior that a lot of others in other brands are getting with this particular iteration of Sandforce. Been very interesting experience thus far troubleshooting.
Hey Redbeard, I don't want to butt in here but I just want to say I think the fans in the 600T are great. I got the Limited White edition.
They're quiet, so quiet that the fan controller seems a little overkill since the increase is so subtle, but effective. Hell, I usually just leave them...
I wanted to let everyone know the build went splendidly, although I did splurge a little more and got the new Kingston HyperX 120gb SSD that just came out.
All I can say is, wow. Amazing.
At my price point and needs, I do not think any of those advancements will be part of my build planning (aside from Bulldozer, perhaps), but I will stagger my build out into August for sure. Thanks for the 411.
I was planning on building soon but I'm willing to wait a few weeks if it helps quite a bit. My wife may kill me though if I drag my feet too much. I think we're going to be building sometime in early or mid August. What is on the horizon, out of curiosity?
One question about MSI - so did they bounce back? I remember when MSI shit the bed on quality completely and I could have sworn they went almost bankrupt. I can tell now though that they are back in the game, but I was just curious.
So my wife's PC died. She is a huge dungeon crawler/Sims nutjob, and after week 3 of having to use a laptop to play/work she is wigging out. So much so that she's actually encouraging me to explore building a new PC and giving her my 780 setup.
It's been a few years since I've done any building...
No I don't hang out around here long enough to be that jaded. I lurk mostly :)
I'm too old for forum drama anyway. Barely got time to even check up on my hardware like this.
The 620hx seems like such a nailbiter.
Here's my deal. I want to get a 295 because I saved my nickels and dimes waiting for it come out. But I can't afford a new PSU.
Here's my specs:
e8400
4gigs ddr2 800
One HD
One DVD burner
two 120mm fans
about 3 usb devices
