    Q6600 and BF3?

    I played Caspian quite a lot in the Beta and suprisingly the rig in my sig handled it very well on Ultra with no AA and medium Post AA @ 1680 x 1050. Mind you, I did see some dips into the very high 20s but mostly it was a contant 45-50 fps. Very playable, for me anyway.

    You should be just fine. It's probably a safe bet that most people running this game will have dual cores. The rig in my sig runs the game very well on Ultra @ 1680 x 1050 with no AA but medium post AA on Medium.

    I wasn't a fan of the second game for the reasons a lot of people are mentioning in here - it was an awfu port on the PC, but the third looks epic, I cannot wait for it! It's right up there with BF3 in terms of my anticipation!

    I'm going to shoot for 60 fps average on 32 player maps and 50 fps average on 64 player maps. The lowest acceptable fps drop to me is probably something in the mid 30s - low 40s.

    Yep. The rig in my sig never saw anything above 85% CPU usage on Caspian Border. I run the game with everything on ultra. No anti-aliasing, but high post AA (removes all jaggies anyway). I run at 1680x1050 with FPS never dipping below 45 or so.

    Anyone else here getting crashes to desktop after a little while of playing and have to shut down bf3.exe with taskmanager? Temps are all on the cool side for me and there seems to be no pattern to the CTD.

    1680x1050 with everything on Ultra except shawows (Medium). 2x AA and Medium post AA (I cannot notice any jaggies at this setting) Metro runs between 50-80 fps (with FRAPS on)

    almalino, the rig in my sig runs 1680x1050 @ 40-60ish FPS with nearly everything Ultra. 0xAA 8x AF HABO off and Medium AA post (gets rid of 99% of jaggies).

    Thanks for the reply! Do you know about running Ultra with 2x AA and maybe something like Motion Blur and HABO turned fully off? I'd really like to have a little AA as Caspian Border doesn't look so great when viewing things from far away (very jaggy)..

    I would suggest looking at a GTX 560 Ti. I believe DICE developed the game with NVIDIA cards or something to that effect..

    30 - 40 fps @ 1680 x 1050 all medium no AA with rig in sig. I'll be upgrading to a 560 ti or something since my cpu usage in game never exceeds 80%, even on Caspian Border! Hopefully that'll run on or close to Ultra at my puny res!
