Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've ordered everything now, and I'd just like to thank everyone for helping me out.
Not only in this thread, but in others, and by posting / reading elsewhere on the board.
Bottom line, I think this might be the best setup for me.
All valid points. But the Q6600 will do what .. 3.2 on air?
I guess the answer to my question is "Yes, if you feel like spending 5 times as much for 15% more performance, go ahead". We'll see what the QX6850 will be after the slash, perhaps .. perhaps ..
I was looking at the Q6600/QX6700/Xeon 3220 ..
Then I read

http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=3038
I have to admit .. It's tempting ..
It seems it whoops everything, even tho it's listed at 1000 bucks...
I got a tip in the 'General Hardware' section to check out the Ultra 120.
Read a few reviews, but then came upon:

Is this correct?
Well. I was thinking about going SLI. But I had one 7800GTX and waited until recently before I got one. And surprise, surprise, one 8800GTX CRUSHES two 7800GTX. Monies out the window :( So I'm thinking .. wait until the 9 series, even tho there is no news when, were, what etc.

I was searching for "revision a04" and this thread popped up.
I just got my 2405, and it is _perfect_. No backlight leakage, no dead pixles, no nothing!
Some local viking is selling it. "CRT's suk! Me want lcd!" hehe..
I've looked at the 23" apple, but it wasn't .. "optimal". I've ordered the Dell 24", it should show up any day now .. but I fear it won't be "good enough", thats why I've looked into CRT's again. I kinda hope the Dell will be...
