Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hmm.
If rumours about a" purchase of nV" are even remotely true, this could be a move to increase the value of the company, making such a purchase more difficult for the buyer, and more profitable for nV.
In that regard this makes ALOT of business sense, IMHO.
Yes, you are right. However, becasue it seems that this is a prerequisite, ATI should include these steps in thier FAQ's, in the least. I tihnk it would be bad for a big company like AMD to give out free software...(from a business perspective, they'd still need to pay driversweeper writers for...
psychok9, I'm gonna try that right now, because I'm still getting cursor corruption, that the release notes for this driver says are fixed.
Sad if the natural uninstaller doesn't work right, but I already knew that.
this is not a screen capture, it is a picture taken with my digital camera(which is why you can see the individual pixels so easily). This was on Eyefinity, @ 5870x1080, all settings maxed, 4xAA. 3x Dell P2310H.
Seems like neither AA or V-Sync is working here with BF: BC2...can you two confirm/deny, Brent and Kyle?
Also seems that performance improvements are stuck within certain resolutions. I am hoping it's something I'm doing, but that doesn't seem likely at this point, tested 2 different boxes...
:D
Actually, the bearing in the fans go. I turn my pc on to a loverly grinding noise. fan failure has nothing to do with my environment being abnormally warm...and it IS warmer than normal...but I love in the Great White Nroth...heat should only be a problem in summer months...not spring...
I think this is the funniest video ever..considering I've had to RMA 6 ATi cards because of heat causing throttle under high load.
LoL. Such bad marketing. Not surprising though.
Bench that bloody card, extract the bios using GPU-Z, get a 470 bios, flash it on the card, and see what happens.
Interestingly, it seems 470 is going to disappear from the market...maybe this is why.
Has TSMC actually screwed this up so bad that yields are worse now, and this is what nV...
You are on the right track.
To dual-boot, simply install Win7 form the Vista desktop, and select you other drive for the Win7 install.
If you need more info than that, let me know..I'm alerady running dualboot, and about to format and do it again, so might be able to give a step-by-step if...
1. Have you ever had a hard drive fail on you?
I have had 4 fail on me, all Western Digital.
3. Have you ever had an external Hard Drive Fail on you? (if you've used these)
Yes, 1, a Creative unit
6. Do you have any sort of backup regimen?
I weekly image/update my drives.

Everything on maximum, soft shadows on, 4xAA, 16xAF, High quality/TSS-AA in nVidia control panel. Sometimes it drops low, but still more than playable.
