Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Apparently ASUS is having similar issues that started more recently as compared to Asrock. I built my system with a 9800x3d and Asrock b850i lightning back in September and so far so good. I know they are not ALL dying, but my luck is generally bad so I am expecting a failure at some point.
Easy anti cheat works perfectly in linux, I used it recently to play the division 2 on my steamdeck. It has to be allowed by the developer on a per title basis which is the issue.
I bought the 4tb sn850x in August 2025 for $286. I bought my entire new computer around that time, including my 32gb kit of 6000mt cl28 ram that I paid $113. I am glad I bought when I did.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving company. Sadly the ones who always take the brunt of the consequences from the bad decision making are the employees and never the CEO.
Our HyperV poc is mostly finished and we are moving forward with the migration over the next 4 months. The one thing that concerns me is managing Windows updates on the hosts themselves. VMware updates were fairly infrequent, but hyperV is going to require monthly windows patching, and we all...
I think the part getting missed is that its not just DLSS vs Native, its DLSS vs Native with massive TAA blur. TAA is a scourge on the gaming industry and is a result of lazy game development. DLSS looks as good as it does, because it removes TAA before its own processing.
Of course the investing site wants you to ignore the signs of a bubble... its literally their job. The writing is on the wall, several prominent companies are starting to question AIs value to the consumer. Even the CEO of Microslop is saying what AI is now isn't enough to justify the spending...
I need the bubble to pop and everyone involved, including TSMC, to suffer greatly. Hopefully lessons can be learned and this behavior will be avoided in the future.
Mini Led is still a backlight technology, micro led is replacing each individual pixel with a led that can be any color including off for good contrast like an oled. Right now they have micro led tvs in the 100+ inch range, but they are struggling to shrink the leds to be able to fit in smaller...
The main problem with cpu physx is that it is specifically written to be singlethreaded. I am not sure how much effort it would take to make it multi thread aware, but that seems like less annoyance than maintaining 32 bit code forever.
When I first watched the witcher 4 trailer I was excited for how it looked and seemed to play. But then I remembered that cdprojektred built an entire fake game to use as a trailer for cyberpunk 2077 and what released was a shadow in terms of looks, gameplay, bugs, and polish. UE5 games are more...
I work at a non profit, and our CFO likes cloud offerings because it lowers Capex in favor of operating expenses. It smooths the budget spikes even if overall the cost is higher. I hate it, I enjoy buying new toys and holding on to them for 5-7 years, but I am not in charge of the budget so 🤷♂️
