[FS] Chenbro CK23601 SAS Expander | Brand New in Box

I am lookin at your card so freakin [H]ard right now! I think it's JUST a bit too big though! It's 7/8" longer than my MSI ITX GTX760, which is about the longest I can go in my mATX media server. Currently upgrading my PERC h310 for LSI 9271-8i, and my m1015_IT-mode for res2sv240...

Replace (Upgrade) RAID Controller / Virtual Disk Migration / PERC h310 >> 9271-8i

Problem: I have an H310 and want to upgrade since I just ordered an expander (Intel res2sv240). This Dell website says I can migrate SAS controllers from H310 to H710, or even better an H710P. I should be able to migrate and maintain an online virtual disk (like, my RAID-10 OS volume)...

    New ST4000DX001 with bad sectors?!?!

Absolutely performed a full format on the disk once added. Then added to the DrivePool and began re-balancing, etc. It ran for a few weeks before I started getting email notifications from StableBit Scanner, then checked CrystalDiskInfo.

    New ST4000DX001 with bad sectors?!?!

JUST got three of these ST4000DX001, and one is reporting bad sectors. Are these just reallocations, or straight-up bad sectors? http://i.imgur.com/8LY5B3P.png Start the RMA process now? Such a bummer. Seagate is really letting me down these days. I literally JUST completed RMA's on two...

SSD caching software? (Not iRST or RAPID)

I actually just started reading about Storage Spaces right after I posted this thread. This is looking like a VERY attractive option right now. I have a few weeks before I move forward with the implementation, so plenty of time to research this. Just waiting to get a new graphics card (MSI...

SSD caching software? (Not iRST or RAPID)

What SSD caching solutions are good, aside from Intel RST and Samsung Magician RAPID mode? From my experience Intel RST is great, but the size limit of 64GB is a bit small these days (256GB would be ideal) and I feel that it's only real benefit is for disk configurations different than my...

QUADRO 4000 or GTX 260 core 216 in my HTPC/Media Server

The GTX 260 is already in the HTPC and thinking about replacing with the Quadro 4000, Quadro has dual DisplayPort and one DVI, whereas the GTX 260 has dual DVI.

QUADRO 4000 or GTX 260 core 216 in my HTPC/Media Server

Workstation specs in sig. Looking for suggestions on which of my two cards I should install in my HTPC. I have the following two video cards at my disposal: MSI GTX 260 core 216 PNY QUADRO 4000 Comparison The main workload of this system is basically audio and video. Rarely do I play games...

Dell PERC h310 - To flash, or not to flash to LSI 9211-8i IR/IT

Hey, yeah, you're absolutely right. I'll change that above. ;) -2x 6Gb/s Intel Z77 -2x 6Gb/s ASMedia -4x 3Gb/s Intel Z77 You're right about the ASMedia. They are shit. I have strange results when both Intel Z77 6Gb/s slots and both ASMedia slots are filled with SSD's. The only way the 4th port...

Dell PERC h310 - To flash, or not to flash to LSI 9211-8i IR/IT

My PC is limited to 6Gb/s SATA ports, so in my quest to mitigate this, I ran across the SAS2008 chipset. A great chipset that is well supported, cheap, and VERY flexible for a number of configurations. Now that I have a PERC h310 on it's way to my house that I picked up on eBay for $40, I'm...

PCIe 2.0 in PCIe 3.0 on ASRock Fatal1ty Pro-M, HBA RAID and Graphics?

OK, so I am using an ASRock Fatal1ty Professional-M Motherboard. PCIe stats are as follows for 3 slots: PCIe 3.0 x16 (@x16/x0 or @x8x8) PCIe 3.0 x16 PCIe 1.0 x1 PCIe 2.0 x16 (@x4) Here are my PCIe cards that I want to use: Graphics card is an older MSI GTX 260, PCIe 2.0 x16 LSI...

HyperDuo controller for multiple hybrid drives?

Well, it's really only because I need more sata 3 ports that I started looking at this since my motherboard only provides two ports on the intel controller and another two on the ASMedia. (Also, I have spare SSD's.) The Marvel chipset is just an added bonus and provides a pretty good...

HyperDuo controller for multiple hybrid drives?

Anyone know of a sata 3 RAID controller with HyperDuo that is capable of more than one virtual hybrid drive? SYBA SI-PEX40071 specifications state: "Port 0, 1, 2 also Support RAID Function: RAID 0, RAID 1, and HyperDuo" I'm assuming that this means only disks on port 0, 1 and 2 can be members...
