Pretty crappy pics I know (I blame the camera heh), did a slight refresh on our home server from 1155 to 1150 (i3 to Pentium). Got a better board with a full complement of SATA3 ports and a socket upgrade for free, not complaining. Had to reorganize some cables in my cramped Lian Li PC-A04 case...

Just picked up two 80GB Raptors for a measly $15, RAID 0 stripped setup! Never had Raptors before, couldn't justify the cost, so now since they're dirt cheap decided to buy a couple of them. Unfortunately, the performance simply isn't there when compared to my ancient Intel 330 SSD, even in...
Nothing wants to go in without a fight I found out. Installed (or rather, tried to) the Big Shuriken 2 Rev. B today, only to find out ASRock positioned the CPU socket so close to the top edge of the board that the Big Shuriken 2 hits the fans (missing around 1/4" of space). Uh Oh.
I guess lucky...
Putting together another low-budget HTPC ($300) in a case I'm quite familiar with (I have one, and it is a PAIN to work in).
Took around a day, managed to get the feisty Pentium up to 4.2GHz (I know the screen cap says 4.1GHz, this was before I tweaked some more settings). Right now it is...

So it does work, this is with VRAY RT 2.4 (on CUDA), I have both cards connected to the monitor, but only the Quadro output enabled in NVIDIA's control panel. The only difficulty I foresee is switching the outputs if let's say you/he wants to game, since the K2000 is atrocious LOL. If that's the...
Zipties - they are your friend. I've always been a fan of neatness over hiding everything. This is a client build, 4930K clocked to 4.4GHz, a mild 24/7 stable OC.
More pictures later.
Yeah, I thought the drive suspension was neat, really more along the lines of why the hell not lol. I installed some felt pads in case they rub against the side of the drive cage so there is virtually no side to side movement, restricting it only to up and down.
Well, I managed to 'fudge' it...
