Not to rain on your parade, but I had some problems with the VE248. I guess it's overdrive ghosting that I was getting? Could be that I got a dud, which is what I'm assuming.

hey that's my video. =) I think I got a dud, but it's hard to tell. My other monitor is a viewsonic vx2025wm which apparently uses a P-MVA panel. That explains why I wasn't use to the viewing angles of a TN panel. I'm returning it to newegg, and am going to try a different monitor...
