Got my evga 670 today non "superclock". Boosts to 1110 core out of the box, got the boost up to 1260. stopped there. temps were 65c under load. idles at 31c
Man just loaded up crysis and i get it all the time in that game. UGH. Usually its just menus.
Considering just returning it for the 670, performance close to the same for less money.
I returned one sapphire 7970 OC because of the monitors dropping. It had coil whine.
Got my replacement card monitors are fine now but this card also has coil whine only on high fps though.
Thought about trying again but what if the one i get is worse.

nope nothing directly under it. it just seems whenever i get really high fps it whines like in the menus of games. I kinda want to rma it but I've already done it once and not sure if its worth trying again.
My first card had the coil wine and now my replacement does as well. Not sure if i should bother with a third.
It only coil wines when I'm sitting on the main menu of certain games, ME3 and crysis 2 to name a few. During gaming its gone.
Had a similar issue with my 7970 when playing crysis 2. Also after about 15min in OCCT the monitors to disconnect. This was on either bios 1 or 2 on the sapphire.
While trying to troubleshoot it my old 5850 never had any problems so i figured it was the card or a combo with the card and...
