• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Can we come up with a better way to keep new users out of the FS/FT forum?

I came here as a F@H person and because of my affiliation with OCN, there has not been as much of a warm welcome as I would have liked. Not to mention that 99% of the stuff I talk with [H] members about is inside the IRC channel and has to deal with F@H. I have lots and lots of private messages...

Can we come up with a better way to keep new users out of the FS/FT forum?

I have bought several things from [H] members from the FS/FT thread. It might be nice to allow those trades to be documented so that after a certain amount of purchase deals we can offer stuff back the community when we are done. I can't post in the FS/FT thanking someone for sale publicly or...

    Bigadv heads up

I was also assigned a new 6903 that was bad. I removed it and got another one. Removed that one got a bad 6904, which I removed and picked up 6901.

    OCN putting the hammer down

A couple of my credit cards allow me to make virtual numbers and then close them when I want. So I made a virtual card and added it, then closed the account. They won't be able to bill it.

Dev Says Piracy Prevents PC Exclusives

They should probably make demos for PC as easy to try before you buy like you can with redbox and a console. Not that I pirate anything, but by the time I get around to buying a new game its already on sale because I have been burned by so many $60 PC duds.

    OCN putting the hammer down

Sorry I had to find the thread: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=15882&p=158383#p158383 It was listed in their source on the FAQ. So basically they "discourage" it but are not actively declaring it cheating because you are not modifying the client. This is what needs to...

    OCN putting the hammer down

Best practice is just that. If you do not enforce it people will break the rules. Agreed on all accounts, and I do agree with being civil. Out of common frustration progress can be created. Sounds like we have done just that. We agree that we are doing scientific calculations with a imprecise...

    OCN putting the hammer down

I do. I think they are looking at all systems involved not just 1155 to determine what they want for overall project performance. The only message I got from them was from time to time the need to evaluate current projects and deadlines compared to widely available desktop hardware and make...

    OCN putting the hammer down

Again, I agree with you. This is why I said it was a personal choice. I choose to report my equipment as it stands. My argument is not that people should use the core hack. My argument is that if PG cared for actual performance they would not limit it to some arbitrary number of cores when...
