Oh and there's also the razer series. Now those are much more customizable, with more features at around the same price. But the downside on razer is that they are of much lower build-quality when compared to the logitech lineup(imo).

Yup, all the G-Series are fab. It's also worth noting that all their keys are fully customizable with their drivers. Shoot away my friend. :-)

Go with the G9X by Logitech, it's totally awesome. I've used it for like 2 years now, and it's "never said never" :D Oh and for FPS's imho this is the best mouse in the market for you.
