VRR does work in 1080p mode, I was using it in Horizon, you can also turn on a setting within the monitor to show the actual frame rate at the top left of the screen.
Everything work’s fine so far apart from VRR in 1440p mode, maybe they can add it later?
I checked out Gran Turismo 7 in 1440p...
Sony have added 1440p support to the PS5 in a beta firmware, hopefully HDR, VRR all
work fine too as it currently does on 1080p mode.
Will test later when I’m home.

Edit: looks like VRR...
Anyone calibrated it with an i1 display pro?
There are so many settings I need a good guide so I can just leave it in HDR mode.
The picture is stunning, finally good blacks and HDR on a monitor.
Yeah exact same problem I had, it worked for a few years but gradually got worse where I would have to turn it on and off multiple times.
It got to a point where it would never get past the green. Hope you find a fix but enjoy it while it lasts!
I have sold it on eBay, just waiting for the guy who won to collect.
I would lower the brightness like you said on startup in the past when it worked, when it would start up there was a green tint / washed out look to everything. It would settle after 30 mins so then I would bring the...
Yeah I have bought it for PC but it’s a bonus if I could use it for PS5. I would then get rid of my dual monitor setup.
It’s not getting delivered till June so maybe Sony adds 1440p support by then, one can hope!
Is there no way to run a PS5 at higher resolution than 1080p on this?
It’s been confirmed the hdmi port won’t accept 4K and downscale the image like some monitors do.
I was thinking maybe an active hdmi to display port adapter, so PS5 sends 4K to the display port and the image being downscaled...
It’s now available in the UK.

yeah I put it on eBay, I’m sure someone can fix it. I had taken it to a few repair shops in my area but most of them refused even when I said I will pay upfront even if they can’t fix it.
shipping abroad is too much effort, would ideally need a solid wooden box and it still may get damaged...
This is the same issue I had with my GDM-FW9011. Haven’t found a fix it was doing this for 2-3 years and now it never gets to a clear screen. Always that green screen with lines then it auto shuts off.
Here’s a video of mine:
The flashing light is most likely the Auto Brightness shutoff as...
Samsungs own version which is yet to release will probably have BFI but they haven’t done it well on the Odyssey screens.
They should get BlurBusters to look at it ideally.
I have the SGI GDM-FW9011 monitor sitting in my living room, it turns on for a second then turns itself off.
Anyone want to take it off my hands for spares or repair for a reasonable price?
I'm located in United Kingdom, England, Birmingham.
I really want confirmation on this also.
Any news on Samsungs own G8QNNB version being released? Might have HDMI 2.1 if they do without the Gsync module.
