    ATI 6.10 are out

Does anyone know when they plan to release AVIVO software that takes advantage of the hardware other than looking up the product model? Thanks!

    Dual LCDs running 1680x1050x2

Have you tried not "spanning" the desktops? Instead have each desktop individual? When I try to span 2 monitors with my ATI x1600pro it only allows 1600 x1200 max on the second display. I can do 1920x1200 on each display when I use the other extended desktop option (not spanning). -F

    Decent Dual DVI AGP?

The GeCUBE x1600pro line has dual-link dvi for both connectors. It's not stated on the website spec sheet, but the ATI spec for that chipset supports it AND if you look at the FAQ on the GeCUBE website their customer support answers your question exactly. You can run two 30" displays. -Felix

    Decent Dual DVI AGP?

Hey... I've had the GeCUBE x1600pro 256MB AGP for a week now form newegg. I don't game at all, but I do some video stuff, so I figured i'd give the AVIVO a shot. I have set it up with dual dell 2405fpws and also a single 2405fpw + HDTV out (analog). Here are my biggest gripes. 1. You can't...

AGP Video Card for Retro Gaming & HDTV?

Got the GeCUBE x1600Pro... 256MB is fine. But quite disappointed with how ATI enables dual displays. And disappointed with AVIVO BS. 3-D performance is fine... allows me to play some of the older games I have at higher res. Having Span or Extended options is pretty standard but under Span...

    X1600Pro 256MB vs 512MB fan noise/thermal comparison?

Thanks. That's what I was thinking too. Maybe the noise isn't an issue for most people but it would suck if my system got a lot louder. I'm sure it will increase a little because right now my AIW radeon (radeon 7000) has no fan at all! Too bad there aren't better cards out for AGP. Oh well...

    X1600Pro 256MB vs 512MB fan noise/thermal comparison?

Greets, Based on responses to my last post I've decided to go with a GeCube x1600Pro AGP for my casual gaming but mostly retro game development / HDTV watchhing rig. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into the thermal/fan noise difference between the 256MB and the 512MB versions. There's...

Are there any AGP video cards that will work with a 3007 or Apple 30" Cinema Display?

I believe you need a card with Dual Link DVI. The X1600Pro has some flavors with Dual Link DVI + VGA. Stay away from the Dual DVI connector X1600Pro. For some reason those ones seem to only support a max resolution out of each DVI connector of 2048xsome#. -Felix

AGP Video Card for Retro Gaming & HDTV?

Thanks... it looks like x1600 pro meets all my needs except for dual DVI connectors which isn't that big of a deal. Looks like folks also recommend the x800.... which I think comes in a dual DVI connector package. At some point I'll probably have to upgrade the powersupply! -Felix

AGP Video Card for Retro Gaming & HDTV?

Hi All, Looking to make my last PC upgrade before I buy a whole new system. I currently have a Dell 2405fpw driven by an ATI Radeon AIW (7200) AGP. I would like to replace the AIW with a dedicated HDTV Tuner (capture card) and a dedicated video card. I don't play games but I would like to...

Dell 2405fpw users post your video card

I don't play any games so I can't comment on that... ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon (32MB AGP 4x/2x, I believe its the 7000 or 7200, it's when ATI didn't have numbers on the box of the Radeon cards). Yes, it's old. Product box and ATI website say this card doesn't output 1920x1200 on DVI... but...
