    Samsung Transform

    I had to download drivers for my Captivate to be seen on any PC as well. Go to XDA Developers and they will have links in the Samsung Forums that should work for your phone. But.. you do have a budget phone.. if your unhappy with it return it quick.

    Meh.. long as Samsung isn't the one doing the coding for the phone it will be great. Otherwise? I'll move on to a different manufacturer. Samsung puts out awesome hardware - but their software development team needs to be take out like Old Yeller and shot.

    Iphone stolen - new phones before February?

    Yea.. need to get Mobile Me or "find my iphone" both are not free services.. but come in handy as they can remotely wipe the device and locate it. Um.. read endgadget - they pretty much tell you what is coming out. I hear that ATT are getting a bunch of Win7 phones - pretty much the same...

    iPhone or Captivate

    If you like a phone that is ready out of the box.. but are going to be highly restricted on what you can do to "tweak" the device? Then get an iPhone. It will be pain-free and work right out of the box. You won't be able to do much other then jailbreak it - and that isn't really that great...
