On a GTX 470, going from a E8500 to a 2500k made all the difference. The E8500 was the major bottleneck while playing, as you can see in some before/after benchmarks I did. Yes there is a difference in RAM (DDR2 to DDR3) but the benchmarks indicate the CPU was purely the problem. Generally, when...
In addition to this ^^ I run games in windows mode and "expand" them across all three monitors.
BF3 and Dirt3 work well this way, despite having to see the bar at the top.
I just bought two EOL 2007FPs from Dell on Ebay. They're both pretty much brand new.
No dead pixels or any problems of any sort.
Only complaint I had was that it said they'd each come with 1 VGA, 1 DVI and 1 power cable.
Between the two, I ended up with 3 VGA, 1 DVI and 1 power cable. I sent...
Sorry to hear about your problems. I have a Sapphire 7970.
I too have PLP 20/30/20.
Here is my config.
1. 30" is connected to DVI out
2. left 20" is connected to miniDP to DVI
3. right 20" is connected hdmi to dvi
I've had nothing but good luck with mine. It took me a bit to set up PLP in...
Well worth it, imo.
Without touching voltage, I overclocked mine from stock (925/1375) to 1110/1510 with no stability issues.
Gets similar benchmark scores to my friends 2x6970 Xfire setup.
I have an old case that is way too big. I can't tuck much because otherwise it wouldn't reach!
I've looked at a few pages and there are some really clean cases.
I just ordered two 2007FPs from dell (off ebay, manufacturer refurbished) in the hopes that PLP will eventually be supported.
Hopefully it won't be too much longer!
