Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Ok, got the system all set up...works pretty good. Though i never played 1942 before this.
Downloading the desertcombat addition now.
The system gets:
3dMark2003 5,831
3dMark2001 16,473
Have not run any bench marks in 1942 yet, but he will be over tomorrow to check it out...
I to have ordered several systems from TigerDirect. All has been good. Their website is a little wierd at times.
I have ordered a ton from NCIX as well, and pretty much all good experinces with them as well.
I buy stuff from the US all the time. Never pay any duty. But i do pay 14% tax on the candian value of what i am bringing across - shipping.
IE If something was $200 US plus $10 Shipping, i would pay (200*1.31)*.14 = 36.68 in taxes on it.
If i buy from Canada, i pay 7% on what i buy...
I am going to go with the 9800 Pro. I told him the new price, and gave him the option of adding 512MB. He is going to get back to me today, but i think it will end up being a 9800 Pro + 1 Gig of ram.
Is there a website that talks about tweaking a system for 1942, or are there not that many...
Took the guy longer to say go then i thought, so going to order tonight.

$ 75 80 GB DiamondMax Plus 9 SATA

I should be able to overclock this one a bit too.
The NF7-S supports SATA, so might as well get a SATA 80GB if i go with that.
If i do not want SATA, is there much difference between the NF7 and the NF7-S?
