DisplayPort. Using the cable that came with it, and also when using a longer 3rd party cable. GTX 1080.
In my experience, any monitor or TV is capable of this kind of blacking-out. It seems to happen far more often when pushing the limits of the display interface. Sometimes (but certainly...
I've been using the monitor for two weeks and I like it so far. 60hz still feels a little sluggish after running 144hz for years, but it is bearable. Higher refresh rates for 4K at this size are likely a year or two away.
This monitor does blink to black a few times a day and restore signal...
I got to try mine today. Input lag feels normal for 60hz monitors (probably in the 20-30ms range). No dead or stuck pixels or obvious defective spots. However the edge darkening is definitely pretty severe (would be a lot better if it were curved). It is pretty close to 10 pixels darkened on...
Adorama: 30 days return window, however return shipping is at your own expense, and the policy states they will subtract their original shipping costs from your refund total. So you eat shipping costs twice. This monitor is not considered a television, and therefore you may still return it...
I don't think it will take nearly that long JohnnyCashout. I ordered mine last night and I've been told it will likely ship by the end of the day today. Yours probably will, too, and then it is likely 3-5 business days to Texas.
Thanks for the info turbo_ and urapnes. That helps reduce anxiety about it.
Also that is amazing ordering "last night" and having it arrive "today". Do you live in the same town that it shipped from or something?
There IS a wireless display solution for the Vive, but it is very much first-generation tech with complicated setup, audible noise issues, availability issues, no camera or microphone transmission. It is more like 1K per eye (less than 4K resolution total) however at 90hz so it is very...
I'd say Pavlov is a lot more "arcade." At least the deathmatch mode is. And you run a lot faster in Pavlov than in Onward. It is insane on some of the smaller custom maps, as you are usually no more than one corner away from an enemy, and often less. The shooting feels surprisingly similar...
I actually cannot see tearing in first person shooters when they are rendering above 144hz on my monitor, regardless of gsync mode. Given the choice to get g-sync as a $100 addon option, I would skip it. Too bad that isn't an option.
Thought so. I guess the next best thing is to buy from Adorama through Amazon (the reduced price is there, too) and take advantage of any amazon visa card rewards. I get 5% back on amazon purchases and that includes 3rd-party sellers.
I'm just waiting on Adorama chat to verify that this...
If you play a lot of games where high frame rates and responsiveness matter a lot, I'd suggest that a high refresh rate be your first priority.
However 1440p, even at 60hz, is an upgrade for all purposes and therefore makes more sense than 1080p@144hz from a cost-effectiveness standpoint...
