    my dorm setup from last year The whole workstation My computer desk Inside the box mix in a little music and an excellent pair of headphones I've had a custom gaming pc in my dorm each year. that was the smallest case that I used.

    It definitely has to be supported, There are quite a few scores posted on hwbot for 3dmark2001se with the 5870 and its only worth running 2001se on xp. That said, this is only an assumption.

    Are you upgrading to 5870 from 4870x2 or GTX295 ?

    I'm upgrading from a 4870x2 + 4870 1Gb 3CF setup to 2x 5870 CF. I'm running a dell 3007wfp-hc (2560x1600) monitor. Honestly I didn't have issues gaming at max res with the 3CF setup, but this should offer a solid improvement over even that.

    Personally I wouldn't paint a G5 Tower, maybe annodize or something, but painting it just seems like a bad idea. Otherwise Sounds like a fun mod. Good luck.

    FF is fully functional, my evga 780i also cycles through various codes before landing on FF during bootup.
