Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I wish I coulld have waited out the storm and have seen how things are going to play out; to see which mobo everyone liked best and to be able to have a Conroe in my hands less than a month after I ordered it. But I have to build my system before I start college, so that really left me with a...
Not good news, although I am 45th in line for my 6600 at Tankguys, so I hope I still squeak in. But I do think they ordered from 4-5 different distibutors at once in case something like this happened.
Ugh, I know, my compy has really not liked this heat. My video card has been runs sorta hot already, and the heat in the room has been a consistent 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 Celcius)! Not good, although it usually starts to cool down in Colorado by mid August.
E6600 and an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe; all the parts are here except for my Conroe. It's driving me nuts, although I am really glad I ordered from Tankguys, their service has been absolutely five-star.
They are essentially the same chip (same transistor count, cache), except with a different multiplier (6600 = 9x, 6700 = 10x). The performance jump between the two is negligible in gaming.
I dunnno. EA has a way of lame-ifying FPS games. The Battlefield series could be so much more, it lacks the visceral feel of a game with guns, along with almost every other EA FPS.
The X800 XL doesn't support Shader Model 3.0; it also probably doesn't get as solid framerates at the 7600GT. Also, comparing an overclocked card with a card at stock speeds does not generate an accurate view of performance between the two.
Intel. Way to launch. Tards.
But I love Tankguys. They are definitely my favorite etailer; I mean, what other site is telling their customers exactly what's going on?
Evil Genius is definitely one of the better games in terms of originality and art direction, although the plot of the game leaves much to be desired. Red Ivan is definitely useful, and traps are one of the best parts of the game!
The Evil Genius license was sold to Rebellion Studios after...
Hehe I built my Conroe rig for $400 cheaper than the equivalent XPS! I would have thought that the difference would be a little less than that... Building FTW!
Definitely. You would probably be able to sell it for more if you list it in the newspaper/on craigslist than if you sold it on eBay. I would say that 95% of the population could be convinced to buy a comp like that for $800 just by seeing the monitor; if you have an onboard GPU, I would say...
