    OC'ing q9650 w/ Gigabyte EP45-UD3P. Which Ram?

4GHz+ on those quad cores isn't as breezy as you think. Also, you're populating all the dimm slots which will make it that much harder to get stable, believe me. If you must, go with some used 4GB 1066/1100/1200 and try your luck and rule out the RAM at the same time. I agree with everyone...

will you be getting Ivy Bridge?

Waiting for Haswell :) I'm not demanding on my systems so it's going to be relatively painless for me to sit tight

    Which LGA 775 CPU Heatsink???

Go with the 212 and use anything else besides AS5. I went with the pre-packaged CFIII from my Venomous X and load temps went down 4-5c over the AS5 I had applied before. The premium heatsinks are real good but there are diminishing returns when compared to the 212 when you factor in price.

    BlackBerry Playbook...best tablet ever?

The build quality is pretty phenomenal on the PB and if it wasn't for the spotty QC I would've kept mine (multiple exchanges for stuck/dead pixels/debris under the screen). It very much reminds me of Nokia smartphones - good hardware crippled by rather poor software. The 2.0 updates and current...

    Will you buy Ivy Bridge?

I'd prefer to hang on to my hardware considering the most strenuous tasks I do are web browsing with multiple tabs open :D However I'll wait and see whether the early adopters think IB is worth the upgrade over SB. Otherwise I'm waiting for Haswell.

    Best CPU's of all time?

1.1A Tualatin Celeron 1.4GHz PIII-S Tualain Q9650 Both the 1.1A and 1.4 Tualatins could overclock like stink, but I could never find RAM that could match up to run at 1:1 dividers :(

Do Your Craigslist Deals At The Police Station

I like the premise of it but sellers in my area generally prefer to have the buyer meet them at their home, which satisfies me more than enough if they're willing to show me where they live. I do the same thing myself - I guess I'm probably too trusting however I haven't been burned up to this...

New Case from Lian Li - the PC-9F

Actually that one requires 3x5.25 bays. The EX-23 holds 3x3.5 but takes up 2x5.25 bays (have an optical drive).

New Case from Lian Li - the PC-9F

I'm looking into exactly that one, the EX-23NB. Does anyone know if you can re-use the 5.25 faceplates in place of the faceplate on the converter bay?

    HP 2509b Review

FutureShop was having a short sale on these for $190 so I ended up grabbing two thinking this model is near EOL, considering the "M" version is off BestBuy's site as mentioned. I'm wondering if these get cleared out for the same price or better I may pick up a couple more for the other computer...

    smartphones in canada

If you're going to stick with Telus be prepared to get at best mediocre pricing plans compared to the competition but grind them down if you can through retentions. Currently, all the other major carriers offer better retention plans so if price is #1 I'd probably look elsewhere and then get...

What is your current CPU Cooling Device?

I've been a ThermalRight fan since I was finally able to get the SK6 copper back in grade school. Currently using the Venomous X with x2 Noctua NF-P12-1300 push/pull.

New Case from Lian Li - the PC-9F

Do you mind taking a measurement? I'm also running the EP45-UD3P, Venomous X with 2 Noctua 120mm NF-P12. The top fan is a bit of a dealbreaker for me :(

New Case from Lian Li - the PC-9F

Hey Zaxour, is there enough room for a 140mm at the top? I'm running the same motherboard and heatsink. I'm guessing it's going to be close either way.
