Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Good question and I apologize for not providing the info initially. Going with the color coded 1/8th jacks to a set of Logitech x-540 desktop speakers. Don't have anything optical available to test with, sadly.
Have tried various methods of plugging and unplugging, while powered or...
Anybody have any luck with making the thread title a reality? I have stereo sound working from the Extigy, but I cannot make surround sound an option in the playback devices. Stereo is the only option from the drop down list. HDMI based sound on the ATI card gives me all of the options, but...
The biggest benefit is the utility. It's like asking Batman why he likes his belt so much - it can do anything as the situation demands of it. You don't have to wait for Sony or Microsoft to give you features, you can simply customize a loadout to your exact specifications.
The remote...
It sounds like a lot of people here assume that channel settings are the end of what you can do to tune a wireless connection, which would explain the wildly ranging results reported in this thread. There is a considerable amount of settings that can be obtained within your wireless devices...
I seriously doubt you'd find anyone here on this forum that would want to convince you to continue breathing, let alone build a computer you obviously have no interest in, but what the hell, here's the list of things I do on mine:
Movies
Music
PC games
Emulators
Hulu
Competent web...
If it came out in February, would you ask if Bioshock 2 and fermi being released was a coincidence? It's not. There is on average one decent game per month that people are looking forward to, so there will always be a game for a video card release to coincide with.
Yup, PS3 Media Server is definitely the way to go. A little inconvenient at times and will outright refuse to play certain files, but it's the best option I've found too.
At least you got a response Mike. I submitted a ticket to them a couple days ago and haven't heard back yet. I'm really wondering where that heavily touted kickass support that they supposedly have is....
In my case I'm thinking it's driver related, as I'm getting similar crashes to yours in...
I've tried 9.10, 9.11, and some random betas that claimed to be an early version of 9.12.
The Windows update thing that other people have mentioned is what keeps sticking out in my mind as a very real possibility. Not an actual Windows update, but the Realtek stuff gets updated through there...
I just received an XFX 5870 last night. Was getting the gray banded screen of death. Read this thread some and tried disabling the HDMI sound on the card, but that didn't help. What has helped so far, however, is disabling the Realtek HD onboard sound that my motherboard has. Granted, that...
