    I have some other pools ( that I'm not scrubbing for obvious reasons) - I'll pull one HBA in the morning and see how it deals with that. I was just using these 10 drives as a tester. Thanks

    I am running the backplanes off a single molex power splitter - although when booting same server with OI LiveCd it's fine. I should add that the data copied to/stored in the pool(s) are fine - the I/O generated by the scrub seems to be what's actually causing the problem.
