Yeah true. But 51 was when I was monitoring the temp. I went away for a bit, walked the dog etc. There have been so many reboots and reinstalls that I'm losing track!

Ocellaris, I was simply downloading my game on steam. I wasn't even really paying attention at that point. I was eating dinner.

Yeah I've been on the integrated for about two hours now. No hiccups. But the temp of the 390x was at 51c when I was monitoring it. I had the most up to date driver for the 390, including the Crimson interface

It was too hot to touch for more than a second, and there was a plastic smell emitting from my tower

Thanks so much. Right now I'm on the integrated gpu. Absolutely no issues. I took out the 390x and it was incredibly hot and it smelled like plastic.

My ram is set to 2133. I am looking into the memtest and how to do that. I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah it's a supernova 650g. My ram is 8x8. I took everything out earlier and reseated it. I checked temps of everything and it seems to be fine right now, nothing is high. Then again, all I'm doing is downloading a game. Although, that's what I was doing during my last...
