The 1.6+ voltage was killing my CPU, I could keep the temps below 65 easily, but the CPU was simply frying, week after week I'd lose stability.
4.1 on air is nice man, I'm still pushing the limits on my water setup here.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I'm activly OC'ing my e8400 with pretty good results.
Before i had any clue about safe voltages for the e8400, i was pumping a vCore of 1.6x through it and had it stable for a few days at 4.6. Soon the computer became unstable and i had to keep lowering...
