Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I am having a problem with my computer. When playing games, anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour plus into it, they'll freeze and the speakers will emit a high-pitched squealing. Also, when watching Hulu videos, it'll freeze and there'll be a short sound loop. I watch a lot of Youtube videos...
I was looking into the Samsung LN40B750, a lot of good reviews for it and a pretty strong following on other forums, but one of the complaints about it is the input lag, even after disabling some of the lag-inducing options.
Anyone have a LNxxB750 that can comment on that? I don't play a ton...
Well, my LVM-37w3 has finally died, it will power on, and shows a black screen, trying to open the menu brings it up in the upper left, but only shows the outline of the box/buttons, and sometime garbled text. I can switch inputs, and on the HDMI input it plays audio, but no video anywhere...
Thanks for the info, SS_Wehrwolf, I'm glad everything turned out good. Makes me feel more at ease with my order. Sucks about the games, though. When I placed my order, we never talked about games, looks like I missed out there, I didn't know I had to ask about them
I totally agree...
Just wanted to give an update. Got a note from Misha a few days back that the motherboard failed and was replaced. Before that, it was possibly going to be shipped sometime last week, now I don't know when it'll be sent.
The wait is driving me crazy.
It makes me feel quite a bit better. I've had some bad luck in the past with HDDs dying on me, and finally got an APC UPS to correct my crappy city-power. Last thing I want to do is lose a drive to a bad PSU, especially a 500GB drive :p
Just got my speakers and sub ordered, should arrive in...
Yea, I'll definitely be taking pictures and write up about how it all goes. I stepped into this pretty nervous, as this is going to be my first PC that I didn't build, myself. I have really high hopes though, I'm sure AVA won't let me down.
Well, pulled the trigger and placed the order. This is what I went with:
# INTEL, Core 2 Quad Q9550 Quad-Core 2.83GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 12MB (2 x 6MB) L2 Cache, 45nm, 95W, EM64T EIST VT XD, OEM
# THERMALRIGHT, Ultra-120 eXtreme CPU Heatsink, Socket 775/AM2, Aluminum
# ARCTIC COOLING, MX-2...
I originally wanted the thermalright ultra 120, so that's a compromise I'm more than happy to make.
AVA's site offers a BFGR800WPSU, is that the same 800 watt PSU that [H] did a review on a few days back? If so, I could defiantly go for that.
How do you have the Creative card connected to...
I was planning on 2 8800 GTX 768's, then heard about how good the GX2s were...I guess that's not very well thought out...the board was meant for the SLI'd cards.
Hi, I'm going to be ordering a computer from AVA soon, and I'm looking for some advice on what I have selected so far, and what might be a better fit for what I'm looking for.
The PC will be used for heavy gaming (most every genre), I have a 37" Westy so it'll be gaming at 1920x1080. I also...
